If your outboard alarm is going off, make sure to shut off your Outboard as soon as at safe to do so. Then try to figure out if it’s overheating, loss of oil pressure, or water in the fuel. If it’s overheating with the motor shut off, lift it up and make sure the intake screen is clean on fhe lower unit. If the intake screen is clear lower it back down into the water and after five or 10 minutes, start up and make sure there’s good flow out the overflow. #yamahaoutboards #mechanic #diag #repair

Yamaha F115 oil pump installation. I removed the lower unit and then removed the powerhead. Next i cleaned up the lower cowling and exhaust guide, then removed the oil pump and cleaned up the mating surface . Now it’s ready for the new oil pump and orings.
