News to shell-abrate 🐢 This Loggerhead Turtle was found on a beach with two hooks in its mouth. After a brief stay at Irukandji Shark and Ray Encounters, the 52.5kg turtle was brought to Taronga Wildlife Hospital in Sydney for further exams and care. Following weeks of TLC by our expert veterinary team, we're pleased to report the turtle was observed to be feeding and swimming well and is in optimum health ✅ Stay tuned for the turtle-y awesome moment when she returns to the wild 💚 #ForTheWild

NEW patient alert! “Luna Diane”. 🐢🦀 Luna Diane, a large Loggerhead sea turtle, was spotted by a recreational boater late Sunday, who contacted the US Coast Guard Key West Sector. Some live photos of the Loggerhead hatchlings that have been coming in over the past week! 🐢🐢 Most of them came in from nest evaluations in the Middle Keys and the one was found in an Upper Keys swimming pool. 🌴 72 hours after a nest hatches, Save a Turtle does a nest evaluation to determine how many eggs hatched.
