The Rissley family started Be a Ruby after the tragic passing of 7 year-old Ruby Rissley on February 27th, 2021. Ruby was walking home from school in Jenison, Michigan when she was struck by a car. She passed the next day. Since then, the Rissley family and their friends have used the love and kindness shown by Ruby in her 7 short years to help others.
