This is CGI - This is a much older animation of ours in black and white, created to give a small insight into gun harmonisation. It was an RAF procedure of adjusting an aircraft’s wing-mounted guns so their individual bullet streams crossed at a chosen distance ahead of the plane (commonly ~250 yards on Spitfires), concentrating fire into a tight pattern on the target. Armourers performed it on the ground using test firings onto a target bank, tweaking gun mounts and sights to achieve the desire
