Learning to dock start a hydrofoil is one of the most challenging skills I've ever taken on. So, how does it work? The hydrofoil is like an underwater wing that lifts you out of the water as you pick up speed. Once you're flying, it's all about pumping (a fluid motion of pushing down to gain speed, then rising up to turn that speed into lift). Get the timing right, and you'll be gliding smoothly across the water. #dockstart #hydrofoil #armstrongfoils #watersports
