This 3D printed structural fitting snap-fits in place for easy connectivity without tools. This is a stronger version of a similar part I recently designed, printed and posred. My goal here was to create a strong, functional mechanical part and use destructive testing to quantify the actual strength of the part. This fitting is designed to work with a ¾” square dowel. Identical parts were printed in PETG for testing in tension, torque, and shear with the results of each test shown in the video.
