UK-issued European Health Insurance Cards (EHICs) are still valid in the EU. They give you the right to access state-provided healthcare during a temporary stay in the European Union. Once your EHIC has expired, you’ll be able to replace it with a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC). Some EU citizens may be able to apply for a new UK-issued EHIC if they are covered by the Withdrawal Agreement.
