The Second World War ended 75 year ago this year, with one of the most important results being the birth of international justice. The Allies felt that justice needed to be served for the atrocities that took place throughout WW2. The Nuremberg trials replaced the practice of collective punishment with individual accountability, which is now a permanent part of our legal system.
